T2MTU: Undelete
Have you ever experienced “Deleter’s Remorse” in Canvas? (Meaning that you’ve deleted something and immediately regretted it?)
In this week’s Tuesday 2-Minute Tune Up Video, I’ll show you how to find the hidden Canvas “Undelete” screen that you can use to restore any deleted assignments or pages.
Click on the video below to view, or keep scrolling for written directions.
Accessing the Un-Delete Screen in a Canvas Course
- Go to the homepage of your course. Then click your mouse into the “URL bar” at the top of the screen until the cursor appears at the very end of the web address (which should be a 4-digit number.)

- Type the word “undelete” at the end of the URL and hit ENTER or Return. This will take you to a “hidden” screen in your course where you can restore any previously-deleted items or pages. Hit the “restore” button for any items you want to add back into your course.

Return back to your course via the course navigation menu, and verify that the appropriate item or items have been restored.
