Last week, our T2MTU showed you how you can create a QR code, directly within Chrome. Today, we’re going to show you how Chrome can translate a webpage for you, from one language to another.
Click the video to watch the tutorial or scroll for written directions.
Translate a Web Page with Google Chrome
Step 1: Right-click on the webpage you want to translate. (You might have to try a few different locations on a page to get the proper menu to appear.)
Step 2: Select “Translate into English”

Step 3: Click on the 3-dot menu that appears and select “Choose another language.”

Step 4: Select the language in which you want the page to appear from the dropdown menu, and then click “Translate.”
Notes:
- Repeat these steps to change the contents of the tab back into English.
- This technique will only translate the contents of a single tab – not everything in the browser – so you can also just re-open the page in a new tab or window to get it back to English.
- Text that is part of an image (like an image button) will not be translated.
