T2MTU: Speed Grader Comment Library

Typing comments to students via Speedgrader is a great way to provide personalized feedback, but it can get tedious rather quickly if you are typing the same 1 or 2 comments over and over.

Today’s Tuesday 2-Minute Tune Up Video shows you how to utilize the Speedgrader Comment Library to speed up your Canvas grading workflow.

Utilizing the Canvas SpeedGrader Comment Library

  • Open up the Assignment you want to assess, and click the SpeedGrader link.
  • Click on the tiny “comment” icon in the upper right corner of the comment field.
  • From here, you can either add a comment to the library (by typing something in the text box and clicking “Add to Library”), select a comment you have already added, edit or delete a comment or turn the “show suggestions” option on or off.
  • If you are choosing to add a comment to the student’s grade, make sure to click the “Submit” button so that your comment is recorded.

This concludes our tutorial on adding to the SpeedGrader comment library. Please contact your ID3 Specialist if you have any questions.
