T2MTU: Sharing Canva Presentations

Canva is a great tool for creating presentations – both for teachers and students. (Click here for info on accessing pro Canva features.)
However, one thing that can be tricky about Canva is choosing the best way to share your creations, especially if you want to make it as easy as possible for the viewer. In the video below, I show you a couple of different ways you can share Canva presentations, both as a PDF and as a public view link.
Feel free to share this video with your students using the following url: https://bit.ly/canvashare_ft
Sharing a Canva Presentation
Option 1: Download as PDF
This option is best for when your presentation has NO transitions, animations, or multimedia. (Clickable links are ok, though!)
- Click “Share” in the upper right hand corner of your presentation.
- Find and click “Download”

- Check to make sure the settings look correct (you can probably go with the defaults), and then click the purple “Download” button.
This will save a PDF to your computer that you can attach or upload wherever you need.
Option 2: Public View Link
In Canva, a “Public View” link is one that allows someone to view your presentation without logging into Canva. They will not be able to make any edits to the presentation, but they will be able to click through your slides, watch or listen to multimedia, or click on any links you have shared.
- Click “Share” in the upper right hand corner of your presentation.
- Find and click the “Public View Link” option. (If it is not visible immediately, you may have to click the “See all” option, and then find/click “Public View.”)

- Click the Purple “Create public view” link, and then click “Copy” to add this link to your computer’s clipboard.
From here, you can paste and share the link in the same way that you would any URL.
