T2MTU: Resetting Column Order in Your Gradebook

If you’ve been using a Canvas Gradebook for a while, you may have manually rearranged or hid some columns. In today’s Tuesday Tune Up, I’m going to show you how to easily re-set those columns back to an order that matches your Assignments page.
Reset the Column Order in Your Canvas Gradebook
Before you begin, decide how you want the columns in your gradebook to appear. Do you want them ordered by name, by due date, by module, or (most likely) do you want them to match their order on your Assignments page?
Step One: Go to your Gradebook, and click the “Settings” icon in the upper right hand part of your screen.
Step Two: Select the “View Options” tab in the “Gradebook Settings” menu.
Step Three: From the “Arrange By” dropdown menu, select the option that best describes how you want your Gradebook Columns aligned. (If you want them to match the Assignment page order, you’ll end up having to do this twice, so just pick one at random the first time time.)
Then hit “Apply Changes.”
Step Four: If you are wanting to reset the Gradebook Column order back to one that matches your Assignments page, then repeat Step Three, this time choosing “Default Order.”
This will put your gradebook columns back into the order you have chosen, even if you have manually rearranged them in the past.
