T2MTU: Canvas Speed Grader Options

I learned a new Canvas Grading trick last week, and I think it’s a game changer… 😊

Today’s Tuesday 2-Minute Tune Up Video shows you some time-saving tricks hidden with the Canvas Speed grader (including keyboard shortcuts) that I think could really speed up your grading process.

Canvas Speed Grader Options:

  • To access the Speed Grader Options window, open up the Speed Grader tool, and click on the little “gear” icon.
  • Select OPTIONS. From here you can choose to rearrange the order that students appear on the Speed Grader list. (I suspect the “submission status” option might be really helpful) or choose to Hide Student Names if you want to grade anonymously.
  • Click on the “Keyboard Shortcuts” option to see a list of single-key shortcuts you can use within Speed Grader
j = Next Student
k = Previous Student
c = Leave Comment
g = Change Grade
r = Use Rubric
  • Click on the “Keyboard Shortcuts” option to see a list of single-key shortcuts you can use within Speed Grader
