T2MTU: “Bulk Grading” in Canvas

Have you ever wished that you could grade multiple students at once, without having to click into each individual grade cell? The “Default Grade” feature in Canvas is one way that you can!

Grading Multiple Students at Once in Canvas
- In the Canvas Gradebook, click on the 3-dot column heading of the assignment you want to “bulk grade.”

- Select “Set Default Grade.”
- Add the score or grade you want all of the empty grade cells to receive in the box, and click “Set Default Grade.”

Note: As long as you do NOT check “Overwrite already-entered grades,” only empty grade cells will be affected.
