Classic vs. New Quizzes

Should I use Classic or New Quizzes to create assessments in my Canvas course?

That’s a great question! Currently, we are recommending Classic Quizzes over New Quizzes in most scenarios, but there are a few different “deal breakers” that may lead you to using one tool over the other. (You have the option of choosing either for your courses.)

Here is a chart that shows a few of those deal breakers. (One thing to note: it is possible to convert Classic Quizzes to New Quizzes, but you CANNOT revert New Quizzes back to Classic Quizzes.)
