Add an External URL Inside a Module
If you want your students to visit a specific website outside of Canvas, there are several ways to add those links, but one of those is adding the URL (the website link) directly into a Module.
Steps:
- Select the “+” (plus sign) in the module header of the module in which you’d like to add an external URL.
2. In the first drop-down field, select “External URL”.
3. In the “URL” field enter the URL (web address) of the website.
4. In the “Page Name” field, give the external URL a page name.
6. Select “Add Item.”
7. Your external URL will appear in your module.
