Add an Existing Item to a Module

In Canvas, you can add the following items from other areas of the course into your modules: Assignments, Quizzes, Files, Pages, Discussions, Text Headers, External URLs, and External Tools.

Steps to adding an existing item to a module:

1. Select the “+” sign in the header of the module you’d like to add an item.

2. From the drop-down list choose an item to add to the module.

3. Then, select the existing item you want to associate with this module. Note: To add a new item select the first option.  Existing items will be listed directly below the option to add a new item. Select the item you would like to add to your course.

4. Then select “Add item”.
