Gradebook

PSA:  The Gradebook is one of the least-flexible and intuitive features within Canvas.  Feel free to contact ID3 any time you have specific gradebook questions or concerns!

• Set up and organize your Canvas Gradebook from the “Assignments” page.
  • This page also is used to organize your “Syllabus” page and course “ToDo List”
• Use “Assignment Groups” to manage weighted grade calculations.
  • Weights do not have to equal 100% (but it will make your life easier if they do).
• Grades can be displayed as points, percentages, or with a grading scheme
  • Students and teachers can have different views.
  • Grading Schemes can be standard Letter grades or a custom scheme like this:
    • Completed
    • Manual Unlock
    • Failed (Remediation )
    • Failed
    • Missing
